Senior Lieutenant General Do Ba Ty who is Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defence has received Matthieu Borsboom, Rear Admiral of the Commander of Royal Netherlands Navy on a visit to Vietnam from March 3-5.
At the reception in Hanoi on March 5, Senior Lieu. Gen. Do Ba Ty highlighted the results of cooperation between the Vietnam Navy Commander and the Commander of the Royal Netherlands Navy, as seen in personnel training, experience sharing in maritime safety and security, shipbuilding and issues of common concern.
He said the Dutch Rear Admiral’s visit aimed to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on national defence cooperation signed by the two ministries of national defence and promote cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the two naval forces.
For his part, Rear Admiral Borsboom thanked the Vietnamese host for his warm welcome, saying that he was very happy to visit a beautiful Vietnam.
