More than US$330 mln of G-bond mobilised in October

The Hanoi Stock Exchange successfully held 15 auctions in October, mobilising over VND7.51 trillion (US$330.6 million) of bonds issued by the State Treasury, up 45.5% over September.

The ratio of winning bids reached 60.5% of the offerings.

The coupon annual rates were 4.50%-4.65% for five-year bonds, 4.83% for seven-year, 5.42%-5.90% for ten-year and 6.20% for 15-year ones.

Compared to September, the coupon rates of five-year and seven-year State Treasury bonds decreased, while those for 10-year term increased.

Meanwhile, outright transaction on more than 952 million bonds worth over VND104.6 trillion was made in the secondary market in October, down 10.9% over the previous month. Repo (repurchase agreement) transaction was also made on over 1.047 billion Government bonds, valued at more than VND106.1 trillion, up 17.7% over September.

Foreign investors spent over VND4.5 trillion on outright purchases and sold over VND1.8 trillion, while making repo sale of over VND345 billion and no repo purchase.
