A delegation from the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, led by its Director Le Huu Nghia, paid a working visit to Mozambique from May 25-28.

During the visit, which was made at the invitation of Director of the Frelimo Central Party School Arlindo Chilundo, the delegates were received by General Secretary and Politburo member of the Frelimo Party Filipe Paunde.

Mr Paunde spoke highly of the Vietnamese delegation’s visit, which took place at a time when Mozambique is celebrating 35 years of its National Day and 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

He praised the friendship, traditional solidarity and mutual support between the Frelimo Party and the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), as well as between the two countries’ peoples during their struggles for national liberation and present fight against poverty and backwardness.

The officials applauded the implementation of a cooperation agreement signed between the two Parties in April 2008, under which the two Party schools are carrying out specific activities.

The Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration and the Frelimo Central Party School discussed operation plans and agreed to exchange visits and train officials for the Frelimo Party at the Vietnamese academy in 2010 and 2011.

On this occasion, the Frelimo Central Party School hosted a seminar entitled “Renewal in Vietnam – Achievements and Experiences.”
