After hearing about the serious quarry collapse at the construction site of Ban Ve hydro-electric power plant in Tuong Duong district, central Nghe An province on the morning of December 15, State President Nguyen Minh Triet sent his deepest sympathy to the families of the dead and injured workers.
The quarry collapse killed 18 workers and injured many others.
He asked the National Committee for Search and Rescue, relevant ministries and Nghe An province to quickly search for the missing and implement measures to overcome the consequences of the accident.
