Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 to get underway in late April
VOV.VN - Over 350 artisans from 69 craft villages nationwide will participate in the Hue Traditional Craft Festival which is scheduled to run from April 28 to May 5 in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue, according to the administration of Hue City – the capital of Thua Thien-Hue.
Vo Le Nhat, chairman of the Hue municipal administration, underscored the international significance of the event saying it features a wide range of cultural exchange programmes among Hue’s twinning cities, thereby elevating the central city’s position as a green, safe, and friendly place whilst preserving the value of the world’s cultural heritages that have been recognised by UNESCO.
The festival is expected to provide an opportunity for craft villages to strengthen investment cooperation and link traditional craft products to the domestic and international tourism markets, said Nhat.
According to the organisers, a wide range of activities will be held during the festival, including a street performance programme, a food festival, and a ceremony to set a new record for handicraft products at the event.
