Telefilm Vietnam to return to HCM City this June

VOV.VN - The International Exhibition of Film and Television Technology (Telefilm Vietnam) 2023 is scheduled to run from June 8 to June 10 in Ho Chi Minh City, to help connect domestic and foreign entertainers.

More than 25 exhibitors from 20 countries and territories worldwide such as Russia, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, and China are set to take part in the event.

On display will be media advertising technology on radio and television, broadcasting equipment, TV recording technology, and new generation televisions.

Regular participants such as KOCCA, Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc., Media Quiz International Holdings Ltd, China Huace Film&TV Co., Ltd., Zoland Distribution, and GMA Network Inc will use the occasion to introduce their latest movies and television shows.

Highlights will include the Russian content worldwide zone with booths set up by Roskino, a state-owned organisation that promotes the Russian film industry in international markets and organises Russian film festivals abroad. A total of 18 Russian companies will present more than 80 movies and animations to international visitors during the exhibition.

The three-day festival to be held at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre will give local and foreign broadcasters, film producers and distributors, television content and technology creators, and businesses the chance to learn about TV application systems.

First held in 2013, Telefilm Vietnam aims to provide opportunities for Vietnamese experts to learn about advanced technologies in television programming and film making.

The exhibition is organised annually, although it was disrupted in 2020 and 2021 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, later resuming in 2022.
