Vietnam-RoK diplomatic ties marked in Hanoi
VOV.VN - A meeting was held on the evening of December 23 marking the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
In his address, Korean Ambassador to Vietnam Lee Huyk applauded the vigorous growth of bilateral ties over the past 25 years.
According to Ambassador Lee, the Republic of Korea has become Vietnam’s biggest foreign investor with a total capital of nearly US$60 billion, saying that Vietnam is currently the Republic of Korea’s 4th largest trade partner in Southeast Asia.
He held that the two countries can expand cooperation across a variety of areas, especially trade, adding that many cultural similarities between Vietnam and RoK will help strengthen cross-cultural exchanges between the two peoples.
