Phu Quoc welcomes nearly 2,000 tourists on five-star cruise ship
VOV.VN - The Italian luxury cruise ship Aida Bella carrying approximately 2,000 German and Australian travelers on board arrived in Phu Quoc, a famous tourist island city in Kien Giang province, on February 9.
Local authorities put on art performances as part of efforts to welcome the international tourists ahead of the Lunar New Year, known locally as Tet.
Foreign visitors toured many of the popular scenic spots found in the area, including Hon Thom cable car, Ho Quoc pagoda, the Vinpearl Safari and Vinwonders Phu Quoc entertainment areas, Kiss Bridge, and Phu Quoc night market.
They also took part in many exciting activities in Phu Quoc National Park, took time to explore the island's most beautiful beaches, as well as visiting traditional fish sauce villages and the Phu Quoc pepper farm.
This marks the second cruise ship to Phu Quoc in early 2024. On February 2, the island city received the Italian five-star cruise ship Costa Serena that brought around 1,083 international guests from Thailand, the United States, China, and other countries.
Since early this year, Phu Quoc has received over 500,000 arrivals, including more than 82,600 foreign arrivals.
