The event draws 520 booths from 240 businesses from countries and territories all over the world, including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia, Germany, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Malaysia, Switzerland, Turkey, the UK and the USA.
All products are arranged in main machine areas for weaving, sewing, embroidering, knitting and materials.
Under the framework of the exhibition, a seminar on building an import strategy for textiles and garments to conform with regional and international changes will be held, in addition to talks and exchanges to find partners among domestic and foreign businesses.
In particular, a senior investment consultancy expert from the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Nakanishi Hirota, had a talk with Vietnamese businesses on the Japan-ASEAN trade agreement and its impact on the Vietnamese textile and garment industry.
When the agreement is put into effective from January 1, 2009, Vietnamese entrepreneurs should focus on importing into Japanese market.
