Hoa Sen Group pours billions of US$ investment in Ninh Thuan

VOV.VN - The Ninh Thuan Provincial People’s Committee and Hoa Sen Group have agreed to cooperate in the construction of a huge complex at Ca Na Industrial Park (IP) in Thuan Nam District.

A strategic agreement is expected to be signed at the upcoming investment promotion conference in Ninh Thuan to replace the one signed in October 2015.

The complex includes a Hoa Sen Ca Na – Ninh Thuan steel complex (with an investment of US$10.6 billion), an infrastructure project for Hoa Sen Ca Na-NinhThuan IP (US$400 million), Hoa Sen Ca Na-Ninh Thuan international port project (US$800 million) and a number of sub-projects on building cement and thermal power plants.

After the complex is put into operation, it is expected to generate 40,000-50,000 direct jobs and 70,000 indirect jobs in the region. It will help develop supporting industries and an industrial urban area in southern Ninh Thuan, contribute a large share to local budget, accelerate economic restructuring and create a motive for socio-economic development.

The Southern Ninh Thuan Economic Development Board (EDB) will be established for implementation of the agreement.
