Prime Minister Phan Van Khai has approved a project to build an inner-urban railway line linking Ben Thanh to Cho Nho in Ho Chi Minh City’ Thu Duc district.

The project is prioritised to use the Japanese Government’s official development assistance (ODA) fund in the 2006 fiscal year.

The construction of the inner-urban railway line is estimated to cost approximately US$625.9 million.
