The gold medal belonged to athlete Nguyen Dinh Toan in the singles event. He and fellow athlete Thu Ngan grabbed the silver medal in the doubles event and the Vietnamese team gained the bronze medal in the team event.

Along with their achievements in the 2009 World Championships and the 25^th SEA Games, Vietnamese athletes once more affirm their strength in taekwondo.

The Vietnamese team is now hoping to gain more good results in this year’s Asian championships.
