The Confederation of Mongolia Trade Unions (CMTU) will co-organise practical activities with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) to further protect workers’ rights and benefits, said the CMTU president.

CMTU President Ganbaatar Sainkhuu made the remark at his meeting with VGCL President Dang Ngoc Tung in Hanoi on March 30, the second day of his six-day visit to Vietnam.

The Mongolian official expressed hope that such practical activities will be carried out in the form of exchanging visits, experts and experiences.
He said he believes the ties between the CMTU and the VGCL will help further consolidate bilateral friendship and create a momentum for the two countries to overcome difficulties caused by the global economic crisis.

For his part, the VGCL president affirmed that the Vietnamese workers and trade unions have highlighted support and precious assistance given by Mongolian workers and trade unions in the past struggle for national independence and the current national construction.

Tung said he believes the friendship between the two trade union organisations will be further strengthened through practical and effective cooperation programmes for the benefit of their workers.
