French, German embassies hold football friendlies in Hanoi
(VOV) - The embassies of France and Germany in Hanoi will jointly host a friendly football tournament in Hanoi to welcome the ongoing World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
The tournament will be participated by teams from France, Germany, the UK, the US and Italy, with French ambassador Jean-Noël Poirier captaining France.
Vietnamese teams come from the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Public Security, and the Vietnamese Alumni Association.
The Ministry of Transport team will be captained by Minister Dinh La Thang.
Matches will take place at Tay Ho District’s Sports Complex, starting on June 29.
