During a meeting with representatives from central and local media agencies on the occasion of the traditional lunar New Year (Tet) Festival, Mr Dung emphasised on the role of media an important information channel in the Government’s management work.

He asked media agencies to ensure that their information is fast, timely and accurate and also affirmed that the Government and government agencies will co-ordinate in facilitating their operation.

Mentioning the Government’s management tasks in 2008, the PM said the Government will move to help the country achieve an economic growth of 8.5-9 percent while improving living conditions, reducing poverty, boosting administrative reform and combating corruption.
