An estimated investment of US$24 million will be poured to developing the tourism sector of Con Co Island belonging to central Quang Tri province. This is part of a master plan for Con Co tourism, recently approved by local authorities with assistance from Abelado Perez Aylion, senior expert of the Cuban Institute of Planning.

Under the project, 40 ha of land will be allocated for tourism development and no high-rise residential buildings will be allowed to preserve the natural scenery.

Con Co will be capable of receiving 700 tourist each time.
