The Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the American International Group (AIG) held a seminar in Hanoi on April 24 to discuss risks in exporting goods to the US markets and AIG’s solutions.

Janos Rautonen, chief of the maritime insurance department, AIG Southeast Asia affirmed that it is very important for Vietnamese exporters to choose suitable forwarding and insurance companies to carry out export activities effectively. As a result, the exporters will provide a door-to-door delivery service, which will help increase the competitive advantages of Vietnamese products in foreign markets.

Dinh Duc Huy, an insurance expert from AIG confirmed that it is difficult to avoid risks of product responsibility but they can be limited.
