Hanoi to host first US-Vietnam Friendship Festival
VOV.VN - The first US-Vietnam Friendship Festival will be launched at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Hanoi on December 2, aiming to honour people-to-people exchanges and celebrate 10 years of the comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
The festival, to be jointly held by the US Embassy in Hanoi and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), is also expected to promote the extensive cooperation and mutual understanding through cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The festival will feature diverse activities such as traditional American and Vietnamese games, a display of various art forms and handicraft products, sports, and STEM activities.
There will be a number of booths set up to introduce information on bilateral ties across multiple fields, including health, the environment, education, business, and culture.
Through direct interactions with representatives from the US Embassy in Hanoi, visitors will be able to learn more about traveling to the United States, studying English, and applying for educational scholarships, as well as job opportunities at the US Diplomatic Mission in Vietnam.
A number of musical performances will be delivered by Vietnamese students and American volunteers during the event.
Most notably, participants will also have the chance to enjoy unique performances put on by US artist Adrienne Mack-Davis and Vietnamese conductor Dong Quang Vinh.
