India-Vietnam Cooperation Center debuts in Odisha State

(VOV) -An India-Vietnam Cooperation Center has been inaugurated in India’s Odisha state the the purpose of promoting economic and educational cooperation and cultural exchange between Odisha and Vietnam. 

During his stay there, Vietnam Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh met with a number of local businesses and visited the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. 

The ambassador paid a courtesy visit to Governor Naveen Patnaik during which they agreed to boost cooperation in agriculture, education, training, tourism, and culture.


During his January 8-10 tour of Odisha , the Vietnamese diplomat met with representatives from the chamber of commerce and industry of Odisha State, participated in a small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) fair, and attended a meeting with Indian firms operating in the state. 

Indian businesses expressed their hope to step up trade, investment and tourism bonds with Vietnam, saying that they want to participate in forthcoming fairs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. 

Odisha, is one of India’s states posting rapid economic growth. Its key areas include metals processing and industrial technique, seafood production, electronics and software.
