Vietnam ties with Laos at U16 football tourney
(VOV) -The Laos squad was held by Vietnam to a 2-2 draw on July 31 in their third Group A match at the Southeast Asian U16 Football Championship in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Vietnam dominated ball possession in the first half with both goals coming through scores by Nguyen Khac Khiem in the 21st and 45th minute.
In the second half, Lao played aggressively and Bounkong narrowed the score to one point and Nalin tied it up the 88th minute.
With the result, U16 Lao maintains top in Group A with seven points and Vietnam ranks 3rd with four points.
