Ngo Bich Ky, a student of Berkely University in California, the US, has been awarded the Living Environment Protection prize which includes getting US$5,000 in cash, having a two-week trip to Brazil and participating at a workshop in Washington DC from July 17-23.


The award is launched by the World Wildlife Fund, Environmental Leadership Programme and North Nissan of America to encourage dissemination on environmental protection.


For the past few years, Bich Ky has focused on environmental protection activities. She set up the Earth Club at her university and an Animal Welfare Club to support her activities.
