Vietnam attaches great importance to developing its traditional friendship and all-around cooperation with countries in Central and Eastern Europe, including Poland, affirmed Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem.

The Deputy PM made the affirmation while receiving Pawel Zalewski, a special envoy of the Polish Prime Minister in Hanoi on May 21.

Deputy PM Khiem expressed his delight at positive progress in the relations between the two countries. He said, however, that bilateral economic, trade and investment ties are yet to match their political relations and potential.

The special envoy affirmed Poland’s policy of intensifying cooperation with Vietnam in various fields for the benefit of the two countries.
