The delegation had a working session with its counterpart from the Communist Youth League of China, headed by the organization’s secretary Lu Yongzheng.

Mr Lu said the relations between the two communist youth leagues have developed intensively over recent years, with the holding of nine friendship meetings, leaving deep impressions on the two countries’ people and youth.

The relationship between Vietnamese and Chinese young people in the border area has continued to grow and flourish, he added.

The head of the Vietnamese delegation, Nguyen Hoang Hiep, who is secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, agreed on the Chinese side’s assessment.

The two sides affirmed their determination to further strengthen cooperative relations between the two countries’ young people within the bilateral or multilateral frameworks such as ASEAN+1 and ASEAN+3.
