Finnish President Tarja Kaarina Halonen has affirmed that Finland will further boost cooperation with Vietnam.

President Tarja Kaarina Halonen made the affirmation at a recent reception for Vietnam’s newly-accredited Vietnamese Ambassador to Finland Doan Ngoc Boi.

The President said she was deeply impressed by the Vietnamese land and people during her visit to the country in 2008.

Ambassador Boi stated that Vietnam attaches importance to developing friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Finland, especially in trade, investment, education and labour.

The ambassador expressed thanks to Finland for supporting Vietnam in national construction and development over the years.
