The Foreign Ministry's spokesman affirmed on April 7 that it would grant a visa for entry into Vietnam to Representative Lorretta Sanchez as part of a delegation headed by the US Speaker of the House of Representatives Dennis Hastert, which is scheduled to visit the country this month.

Spokesman Le Dung made the affirmation in response to a query asking for an explanation of why Vietnam denied Representative Sanchez an entry visa for the third time.
"This information is inaccurate," the spokesman asserted.

He added that the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C has informed the office of Representative L. Sanchez of the news that Vietnam will give her a visa for entry into its country as a member of the delegation led by Speaker of the House of Representatives Dennis Hastert.
