Neither Vietnamese citizen detained by Ukraine so far

Neither Vietnamese citizen has been detained by Ukraine so far, head of the Foreign Ministry’s Consular Department Ly Quoc Tuan affirmed on February 3. 

Recently, Ukrainian authorities raided a Vietnamese quarter called Lang Sen (Lotus Village) in Odessa city and detained three Vietnamese citizens. 

Following the incident, the Vietnamese Embassy in Ukraine promptly conducted citizen protection and two of the arrestees were released immediately on the day. 


According to the embassy, Nguyen Van Hung, who was detained on January 29, has been set free.
