Vietnam attending Paragliding World Championship
(VOV) - Three young Vietnamese athletes will take part in the Paragliding World Championship 2013 to be held in Indonesia from April 25-28.
They include Tran Thi Anh, Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong (female) and Phung Duc Thang (male).
Tran Thi Anh has participated in many regional and international tournaments. In 2012, she brought home a silver medal in the women’s event at the third Thailand Paragliding King’s Cup Open.
Nguyen Thi Hong Phuong has practised paragliding for two years while Phung Duc Thang has joined regional tournaments since 2009.
The Paragliding World Championship 2013 will draw the participation of 56 athletes from 10 countries worldwide, including Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Serbia, the Republic of Korea, China, Japan, Slovenia, Singapore and Vietnam.
