The Lao diplomat conveyed the regards of Lao President Choummaly Sayasone to Mr Trong and congratulated him on the 66^th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam’s National Day.

Mr Sychaleun expressed his admiration for the historic achievements made by the Vietnamese people under the leadership of the Vietnamese Communist Party.

He also showed his gratitude for the huge and effective support and assistance that Vietnam has extended to Laos and pledged to do his utmost to bring bilateral ties of friendship to a new height.

The Party chief said he warmly welcomed Mr Sychaleun as the new Lao ambassador to Vietnam and expressed his belief that Mr Sychaleun will fulfil the tasks entrusted by the Lao Party and State.
