Vietnam-Japan Mini Book Fair gets underway in Hanoi
VOV.VN - The Vietnam Publishers Association and the Japan Publishers Association Shokyo jointly organised an opening ceremony for a Vietnam-Japan Mini Book Fair at the National Library of Vietnam in Hanoi on May 24.
This is the second event of its kind in Vietnam after the first was held in Ho Chi Minh City in 2016 in the aim of promoting cooperation between the two countries in the field of publishing. |
Addressing the opening ceremony, Hoang Vinh Bao, deputy Minister of Information and Communications and president of the Vietnam Publishers Association, says that the fair will allow Japanese publishers to advertise and sell copyrights of their publications while also giving them the opportunity to study, exchange, and buy copyrights of Vietnamese literary titles to introduce them to Japanese readers in the future. |
Mr Yamamoto, president of the Japan Publishers Association Shokyo, says the fair provides a chance for readers to gain a better insight into the cultures and people of the two countries. |
Mr Yamamoto hopes to make the most of the large number of young readers in Vietnam. |
At the event, twenty Japanese publishers offer a wide range of new and interesting books. |
