HCM City to host first Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam 2023
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled to host an international exhibition in April 2023 providing a comprehensive online and offline solution for buyers seeking new sourcing options, organisers said at a press briefing on December 6.
Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam, the first of its kind in Vietnam, will be organized by the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (Vinexad) and Global Sources of Hong Kong (China).
The April 26-28, 2023 exhibition is expected to bring together more than 500 pavilions and attract more than 6,000 buyers from the US, Europe, Asia and many other countries around the world.
Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam is anticipated to offer visitors the opportunity to discover new and popular products of key industries in Vietnam, including household appliances, furniture, gifts, handicrafts, fashion, accessories, textiles, and fashion materials, said Pham Dang Khanh, deputy general director of Vinexad.
Meanwhile, Hu Wei, CEO of Global Sources, noted Vietnam is one of the important and strategic destinations for sourcing, and at the same time it is becoming a global manufacturing base thanks to its advantages in terms of geography, import-export tax incentives and improved infrastructure.
Given this context, many international business-to-business buyers have started looking for goods from Vietnam and other countries in Southeast Asia, said Hu, expecting Global Sourcing Fair Vietnam would become an attractive annual event for international commercial buyers.
