Samsung to develop smart factory project in Da Nang

VOV.VN - The Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and Samsung Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Da Nang City on September 12 to develop a smart factory project for Vietnamese enterprises in the central region.

The smart factory project aims to support Vietnamese firms in engaging in the global supply chain.

Earlier in July the MoIT and Samsung Vietnam officially kicked off the smart factory development project in the northern region.

The first phase of the Da Nang project will see 12 businesses in Bac Ninh, Hanoi, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, and Vinh Phuc participate in a three-week training course to learn about smart factories. Samsung’s specialists and Vietnamese consultants will therefore review the businesses and subsequently help them to develop the model.

Specialists then would continue to support the firms in building operation and management systems, as well as making improvements.

During the 2022-2023 period, the programme will support the development of smart factories for 50 enterprises and train 100 Vietnamese experts in the field of smart factory consulting.

The signing of the Da Nang project is taking place within the framework of the 2023 Da Nang City manufacturing and processing supporting industry exhibition which kicked off on the same morning.
