Party General Secretary Trong to visit Indonesia, Myanmar

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong will pay an official visit to Indonesia from August 22-24 at the invitation of Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo.

The visit aims to deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries. It also looks to reinforce political trust and friendship and speed up pragmatic cooperation, towards creating a new development in the two countries’ relations.

After Indonesia, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong will make a State visit to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from August 24-26 as guest of Myanmar President Htin Kyaw.

The visit looks to define a framework for the two countries’ relations that will have a new milestone, heights, and a new impulse across sectors.
