Vietnam attaches importance to strengthening ties with Saudi Arabia
VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh on September 23 held phone talks with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, to discuss measures to promote relations between the two countries.
During the talks, Minh extended congratulations to the Prince on the 90th anniversary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (September 23), and affirmed Vietnam attaches great importance to and wishes to further develop the friendly and multifaceted cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
The two sides highly appreciated regular phone talks to discuss issues of mutual interest by the leaders of the two Foreign Ministries, considering this a vivid manifestation of the good relations between the two Foreign Ministries in particular and the two countries in general.
They agreed that the two countries’ relations have made remarkable progress since recent phone calls, and emphasized that the two sides need to further strengthen bilateral relations in key areas of economy, investment, tourism, in the interest of the two peoples, and for peace and stability in the region and the world at large.
The two ministers also exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual concern.
