Residents set to enjoy free medical check-up on World Health Day

VOV.VN - Representatives from the Ministry of Health held a meeting with reporters in Hanoi on April 4 in response to the World Health Day (April 7) and the Vietnam Health Program.
 

Accordingly, the Vietnam Young Doctor's Association is assigned to organize diverse activities at the Ly Thai To statue area next to Hoan Kiem lake on the morning of April 7 in response to these events.

For the occasion, K Hospital, National Lung Hospital, and the Vietnam Cardiology and Heart Association will be providing free health check-ups to patients and residents using the cutting-edge medical equipment.

Residents will be able to undergo X-ray screening for their lungs as well as tests for diabetes or cancer screening. 

Assoc. Pro. Dr. Vu Xuan Phu, deputy director of the National Lung Hospital, said that up to 60 doctors from the hospital will participate in the program to offer free check-ups to 1,000 people as well as delivering free medical supplies and dietary supplements to residents with a total value of about VND300 million.

In addition, the Ministry of Health will also hold a ceremony to honour 10 outstanding Vietnamese young doctors on the occasion.
