Party Chief works with Central Theory Council
(VOV) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had a December 30 working session with the Steering Board of the Central Theory Council on its 2013 performance and tasks and orientations for next year.
Trong acknowledged the council’s efforts in fulfilling their tasks and renewing working methods and expressed his hope that the council will well implement its key task of reviewing 30 years of renovation in preparations for the 12th National Party Congress.
The Party Chief asked the council to review 20 years of implementing the Politburo’s resolution on theoretical work and 15 years of implementing the Party Central Committee’s resolution on building a progressive culture imprinted with national identity.
The council should improve the quality and effectiveness of international seminars with a view to sharing theoretical issue-related experience, he said.
Trong also suggested renewing working methods to promote solidarity and democracy in research work to fulfil all tasks for next year.
During the working session, leaders from ministries and sectors touched upon issues relating to financial policy, mechanisms, research and coordination with the Central Theory Council.
