Giant crepe featured at Danang International Food Festival’s closing ceremony

VOV.VN - The Danang International Food Festival (DIFF) 2019 concluded on the east side of Dragon bridge on Tran Hung Dao street in the Son Tra district of the city with the highlight of the ceremony displaying a giant Banh Xeo, a type of Vietnamese crepe, made by 13 foreign chefs on June 6.

A giant crepe made by 13 foreign chefs is the highlight of the closing ceremony for the five-day DIFF 2019.
According to the organiser, the crepe weighs a total of 150kg and could serve up to 200 diners.
The first-ever version of the DIFF held in the city attracts more than 10,000 local people and tourists.
During the five-day festival 13 renowned chefs from Germany, Mexico, India, China, Sweden, the United States, Turkey, Greece, Singapore, and Malaysia put their cooking skills on display and introduced their countries’ traditional dishes to those in attendance.

Nguyen Xuan Binh, deputy director of Danang City’s Department of Tourism, says the DNIFF will also take place in 2020 and it will become an annual festival.
