The labour unions of Vietnam and Laos have discussed ways to increase their cooperation.

At their meeting in Vientiane on May 23, both President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), Dang Ngoc Tung, and President of the Lao Federation of Trade Unions (LFTU), Vongphet Saykeuyachongtoua, spoke highly of their recent cooperation.

Speaking at the function, Vice President of the LFTU Khamla Lolonsy emphasized Vietnamese assistance in the formation and development of the Lao trade unions.
The Vietnamese guests pledged that the VGCL will continue to cooperate closely with the Lao trade unions to enable them to continue to unite with the Laos workers.

The same day, the Vietnamese delegation attended a seminar marking the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Friendship and Cooperation Treaty.
