Domestic gold prices soar to reach nearly VND76 million per tael
VOV.VN - Domestic gold prices kept skyrocketing on the afternoon of December 21 to pass the historic high, duly reaching VND75.7 million per tael.
As of 3:10 p.m., Saigon Gold and Jewelry Company listed each tael of SJC gold at VND74.7 million and VND75.7 million for buying and selling, marking increases of VND300,000 and VN400,000 for the buying and selling prices from the previous day, respectively.
The same day, Doji Group rate the yellow metal at VND74.55 million and VND75.6 million per tael for buying and selling, adding the same VND300,000 per tael value for both the buying and selling side from a day before.
Phu Quy Group listed their gold prices at VND74.6 million and VND75.6 million per tael for the buying and selling side.
Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited increased rates by around VND300,000 per tael to VND74.57 million and VND75.54 million for buying and selling compared to rates one day ago.
Meanwhile, gold ring prices shot up by VND250,000 to VND61.75 million and VND62.7 million per tael, also reaching a new high so far.
This rise is largely fueled by the robust increase occurring in global gold prices. The price of gold on the world market on December 21 was traded at US$2,038 per ounce on the gold exchange Kitco.
