VOV enhances communication cooperation with Mongolia, India

VOV.VN - Voice of Vietnam’s President Do Tien Sy received Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav and Indian Ambassador to Vietnam Sandeep Arya in Hanoi on October 12.

At the meeting with the Mongolian Ambassador, Mr. Sy said VOV has disseminated information about culture, economy, and activities of the leaders of the two states.

The President said VOV will produce more programs about Mongolia and relations between Mongolia and Vietnam, revealing that a VOV delegation will travel to Mongolia to prepare in-depth reports in the leadup to the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2024.

He also proposed that the Mongolian Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with VOV and the Vietnam – Mongolian Friendship Association host a contest on Vietnam – Mongolia diplomatic relations to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav, for his part, said that Mongolian people highly value and always have special affection for the Vietnamese nation and people and that many Mongolians want to travel to Vietnam.

He also proposed that VOV’s TV channels air more Mongolian films featuring history, nomadic culture as well as contemporary life of this country.

Receiving Indian Ambassador Sandeep Arya, President Sy congratulated India on its successful landing on the moon and the recent organization of major international conferences.

The VOV chief said he hopes that Ambassador Sandeep Arya will facilitate VOV reporters to study, exchange experiences, and have field trips to India, based on which they will have more journalistic products about India and the friendship between the two countries.

Emphasizing the strong relationship between Vietnam and India over the past half a century, Ambassador Sandeep Arya said that media plays an important role in accurately disseminating the history and foundation of the fine relations between the two countries, as well as the economic, social, scientific, technical development achievements of each country to both peoples.

The Indian diplomat said he hopes that the Voice of Vietnam and Prasar Bharati Radio and Television will soon sign a communication cooperation program, thereby tightening the friendship and  enhancing understanding of the two peoples.
