Costa Allegra cruiser anchored off Saigon port on May 28 for the first time, bringing 1,250 tourists and crewmen to Ho Chi Minh City.

Most of the tourists came from Germany, Spain, Great Britain and Italy.

They are scheduled to visit Da Nang city and UNESCO-recognized World Cultural Heritage sites in central Vietnam such as Hoi An, Hue and My Son Cham temples, after being taken around the southern economic hub of HCM City.

The ship from the Costa Crociere S.p.A is scheduled to leave for China on May 30.

The cruise has made a test run under a contract signed by Costa Allegra and Saigontourist.
