"578 Magnum" to vie for award at Moscow International Film Festival
VOV.VN - “578 Phat dan cua ke dien”, known as “578 Magnum” in English, has been invited to compete in the Wild Nights category at the 45th Moscow International Film Festival which is scheduled to take place in Russia from April 20 to April 27.
Directed by Luong Dinh Dung, “578 Magnum” tells the story of a father, a container truck driver, who must hunt down a gang of underground criminals after they kidnapped his daughter.
The cast is led by Alexandre Nguyen and features the likes of Hoang Phuc, model Jessica Minh Anh, and H'Hen Nie, Miss Universe Vietnam 2017.
The Moscow International Film Festival is the second oldest film festival in the world after only the prestigious Venice Film Festival. The occasion was first organised back in 1935 and has been held annually since 1999.
A range of famous celebrities, including director Federico Fellini, actor Jack Nicholson, and actress Meryl Streep, have ever been honoured at the festival.
The Vietnamese movie “578 Magnum” was first introduced to film distributors globally at the Berlin International Film Festival on February 16.
In June this year the local movie will continue to participate in the Golden Tree category to vie for the best film and the best director awards at the fourth Kimolos International Film Festival in Greece.
