National costume for Miss International 2023 revealed
VOV.VN - Vietnamese representative Phuong Nhi has officially unveiled the outfit that she will wear during the National Costume Competition at the Miss International 2023 pageant, with the prestigious event currently taking place Japan.
According to Nhi, the outfit was designed by 14-year-old designer Chau Gia Minh, drawing inspiration from the image of the stork which is mainly associated with the countryside and represents the image of hard-working Vietnamese people.
One notable feature of the dress is the wide wings which carry two beautiful storks on top. In addition, the details of the outfit are studded with sequins and pearl strings. Nhi also revealed that the dress weighs a total of 10 kg.
Moving forward, the final night of the pageant will take place on October 26.
First launched back in 1960, Miss International represents one of the Big Four international beauty competitions, alongside the likes of Miss World, Miss Universe, and Miss Earth. This year marks the 61st edition of the pageant.
In previous competitions Vietnamese representatives have won high prizes, including Pham Hong Thuy Van who finished as the third runner-up in 2015 and Tuong San who was among the Top 8 back in 2019.
