Vietnam to vie for medals at Asian finswimming tourney in Thailand

VOV.VN - Vietnam’s 41-member team on November 23 departed for Phuket, Thailand, to compete in the 18th World Underwater Federation (CMAS) Asian Finswimming Championship.

A total of 370 athletes from 15 countries and territories have registered to participate in the championship due to take place from November 24 to 29.

Vietnamese athletes will compete in all events for individuals and team relays for both men and women.

In particular, they will take part in the sixth Asian Junior Finswimming Championship which will coincide with the tournament from November 24 to 29.

Local athletes have been chosen from the national finswimming championship which concluded in Ho Chi Minh City in October.

The Asian Finswimming Championship was first held in 1989. Vietnam hosted the tournament in Da Nang City in 2012.
