Cambodian Deputy PM presents gifts to flood-hit central Vietnamese region

VOV.VN - Deputy Prime Minister of the Royal Cambodian Government Men Sam An joined with her delegation to extend best wishes and to donate gifts in support of victims of recent flooding in the country’s central region on November 4 at the Binh Hiep international border gate complex in Long An province.

The Cambodian Deputy PM offered her warmest greetings whilst sharing stories of the difficulties and losses faced by local people in the centre of the nation. In addition, she expressed her wish that the Party, State, and Government of Vietnam, along with the citizens of central localities, would swiftly overcome losses sustained during this challenging period. Indeed, efforts to get the better of the impact of flooding are necessary in order to stabilise the lives of local and to boost socio-economic development.

Through Long An’s provincial leader, the Cambodian Deputy PM donated a sum of VND500 million to help people in need in central Vietnam, contributing to their cause of overcoming the consequences of recent natural disasters. This figure was achieved through contributions by Cambodian Deputy PM An, the Vietnam - Cambodia Friendship Association, the Cambodian Red Cross Soeciety, the Cambodian Government, and the Youth Union of SvayRieng province.

Upon receiving the donation, Vice Chairman of the Long An provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa expressed his sincere gratitude to the Government and people of Cambodia, as well as to Cambodian Deputy PM An for sharing the difficulties and losses with people in the central region.
