Addressing the event, President of the Association, Nguyen Xuan Hung, emphasised that since the establishment in June, 2010, the Hanoian Association in Germany had quickly overcame difficulties, strengthened its internal solidarity and successfully held four cultural events in the community, particularly the 1,000^th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.     

He pointed out that in the coming time, the association would increase the number of activities to serve the cultural lives of its members and to reinforce its ties with the fatherland.

Besides, Phan Y Nhi, Counselor of Vietnamese Embassy in Germany, on behalf of the Embassy, sent best New-Year wishes to the whole overseas Vietnamese community and warmly applauded the association’s activities.

Also, on that occasion, the Hanoian Association offered gifts to its members’ children to reward their good results at school and encourage their further studies.

After a food fair, participants enjoyed a touching performance of songs about Hanoi.
