American-Vietnamese pianist wins Global Music Awards

VOV.VN - American-Vietnamese pianist Quynh Nguyen has won a gold medal at the Global Music Awards event recently held in the United States.

She grabbed the title thanks to her latest record “The Flower of France”.

Quynh was also named among the list of the top 19 “Young Stars of Tomorrow” as selected by Musical America.

Established back in 2011, the Global Music Awards is a renowned international music competition which celebrates independent musicians. The competition is widely recognised by industry insiders as providing legitimacy to highly talented artists.

Quynh Nguyen is a Vietnamese-American classical pianist based in New York City. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Graduate Center of City University of New York back in 2009.

The Vietnamese pianist has performed extensively throughout the US, Europe, and Asia, to wide critical acclaim.

Quynh currently serves on the piano faculty of the International Keyboard Institute and Festival in New York City and at Hunter College of City University of New York, where she teaches private piano lessons and conducts piano and chamber music master classes.
