Exciting festival at Dong Cuong Temple in Yen Bai

VOV.VN - Dong Cuong Temple Festival in the northern province of Yen Bai was held over the 27-28 of February (the 12th and 13th days of the first lunar month), drawing a crowd of thousands of local people and tourists praying for a lucky year.

The gate of Dong Cuong Temple is decorated with a large bright red sign to welcome visitors.
Den Mau (Mother Temple) is currently under repair.
The festival rituals have to be held in another house inside the temple grounds.

A white buffalo is prepared for the ritual.
Local leaders perform a ceremony to show respect for the ancestors.
The traditional rituals then take place.
As part of the festival, local people host diverse activities to pray for a bountiful crop, good health, and peace.
