An exhibition, entitled “Agent Orange/Dioxin – Pain and action”, opened at the Military Zone 4 Museum, in Vinh city of central Nghe An province on August 9.

Nearly 200 photos, documents and objects on display are testimony to serious consequences caused by US troops during the Vietnam war.

The exhibition aims to praise the great efforts of Agent Orange/Dioxin victims to overcome difficulties in daily life and charitable activities by domestic and international social organisations. It also aims to make soldiers, officials and particularly young people fully understand the pains lingering and losses that Agent Orange/Dioxin victims are suffering, thus enlisting sympathy and responsibility from all social sections towards these victims. This is an occasion for mass organisations and individuals to demand that US chemical companies pay Agent Orange victims compensations.

At the opening ceremony, participants signed a petition against US chemical companies, and donated VND60 million to support Agent Orange victims.

The organising board presented gifts to many Agent Orange victims in special circumstances.
