Grandmaster Le Quang Liem ranks second at Spice Cup
Vietnamese Grandmaster Le Quang Liem ranked second with four points at the ongoing Spice Cup Open 2014 in Missouri in the United States after winning the fourth and fifth round on October 24.
The HCM City-native player who has Elo rating of 2706 beat R. Guerra of Spain, Elo 2442 in the round four. This victory was a good driving force for 2013 blitz world champion to best C Jimenez Fidel of the hosts, Elo 2532 in the next round.
The two-time Aeroflot Open champion will meet Kayden Troff, Elo 2532 in the sixth round.
Competition at the tourney is in the format of a nine-round Swiss System. The winner will receive US$5,000.
