Hai Yen crowned Miss Southern Vietnam 2017
VOV.VN - Nguyen Thi Hai Yen from the An Giang Province was crowned Miss Southern Vietnam 2017 out of the 27 contestants at the final round of the pageant on July 22nd, in Can Tho City.

Yen, 20, won the title for her smart answers to the questions. Along with the title, she also received a cash prize worth VND200 million (US$8,695).
Nguyen Phuc Thuy Tien, 19, from Ho Chi Minh City and Do Ngoc Vinh Nghi, 19, from Can Tho City, were the runner-ups.
They were given VND70 million (US$3,043) and VND50 million (US$2,173), respectively.
The Miss Southern Vietnam 2017 contest began on June 3rd in Can Tho City. It has drawn the participation of 535 contestants from 20 cities and provinces in the southern region
